Disappointments are a fact of life and no one is immune to them. All of us have expectations of other people, ourselves, and yes even God. How we handle life’s disappointments is extremely important. We must understand that this too shall pass, and tomorrow will come. Just don’t give up; keep going! Disappointments are meant to remove us from office, remove us from the position of victory that God has already placed us in. Disappointment is a seed of doubt that intrudes on our faith, and it is a strategy from the enemy to bring us down and then ultimately defeat us. The devil is a stupid jerk! We must be re-appointed instead of dis-appointed, to “dis” me, means to oppose me, so to disappoint, means to oppose my appointment. Listen the first thing that happens when we get disappointed is to stop having appointments with Jesus and that is the worse thing we can do. Even if you can’t speak you hurt so bad, just be still and sit in His presence. Don’t run and hide from the One who understands better then all of us about disappointments. He was rejected by all, and then Peter denied Him three times on top of that, I think He understands!
