Faith under pressure is actually good for us. Look at James Chapter 1 in the Message Bible. It says, “Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.” I like to say it this way, “you don’ know what is in you, until you are squeezed!” But it is important to understand that the bad things in life are not coming to you from God. If it’s bad it ain’t God (sorry for the English)! If it’s good, it’s God! All good gifts come from Him. So let’s talk about this, when the cares of this life start to squeeze you how in the world can I consider that a gift? I am glad you asked, this is how. Because when we allow the cares of life too do a work in our heart, we come out better then what we were before we went into the trial. That squeeze that was sent to try to stop us, if we give it to God and let Him change what the enemy meant for harm for us into our good, we come out like gold, we get an eternal reward that can’t be shaken, taken or stolen from us. The squeeze of life when embraced are actually doing us a favor, if you can see in the spirit realm what they are actually accomplishing in you, you would be almost tempted to say bring it on you stupid jerk, you are just doing me a favor. So today “consider it a sheer gift my friend, thank God for the work He will accomplish in you and then go help someone else going through something also and watch the devil get mad and God get glad!
